Hooghly , 15 November : —– Teacher’s Day was celebrated in a grand manner at [Your School Name] on 5th September, on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan , the great educationist and former President of India.
At first , students performed the duties of teachers. The senior class students took the classes of junior students. It was an amazing experience for students.
After , a small function was held in the school hall room. The hall room was decorated with flowers , festoons , balloons , banners etc. The main program started at around 12.30 P.M. with the arrival of the chief guest , our local M.L.A.
The head of the institution , [Name] welcomed him cordially. After garlanding the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan , all the teachers of the school and the chief guest were greeted with flowers and some gifts.
A cultural programme of recitation , songs , dance and drama was also presented by the students. Then , the chief guest and the head of the institution delivered speeches on highlighting the importance of the teacher’s role in the life of students.
They also motivated students to work hard in study to be successful in life. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets at around 3 P.M.
