Place & Date : —– A Cleanliness Drive Or Cleaning Up Campaign was organised by [Your School Name] on [Date] 5th June , on the occasion of World Environment Day / 2nd October on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
All the students and teachers of the school participated in this programme. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students as well as the people of the locality regarding cleanliness and its benefits.
The programme started at 10:00 a.m. with a procession around the locality with banners and placards which showed lines about the importance and benefits of cleanliness. Then the cleaning programme was started. The instruments for cleaning and sanitizing like brooms , buckets , spades , bleaching powder etc were provided from the school.
The students were divided into groups and with the guidance of teachers , they cleaned the classrooms , corridors , school ground and also the surrounding areas. All the students did their job with great interest and energy. After the cleaning programme there was a fresh environment in and around the school.
At last the head of the institution delivered his short speech about the importance and necessities and advised all to be clean and to help to maintain cleanliness of their surroundings to keep themselves away from any disease. The programme ended at 2:00 p.m. with the distribution of sweets to all.
