The function began with Rabindra Sangeet sung by a group of students in chorus. It was followed by the recitation of Tagore’s poems. Then the headmaster and others delivered their valuable speech on the different aspects of Rabindra literature and on his patriotism. After the speeches there was staged Rabindranath’s ‘Mukut’. The play appealed to the audience for its patriotic sentiment and historical interest.
