Through your esteemed daily, I would like to express my concern about the reckless driving a public vehicles in the streets of Kolkata.
It is a matter of great public annoyance and worry that accidents have become a regular affair day by day in the streets of Kolkata and in the roads of almost all the big towns of our State. The reckless driving of the public vehicles like buses , autos , taxies is the root of almost all the troubles an accidents on roads. The drivers drive the vehicles at a terrific speed with no regards to the traffic rules of the road. They overtake other speeding cars, resulting in collisions and casualties. Hardly a day passes without a serious accident. People travelling in buses or in cars , and even the commuters waiting for buses on the roadside are always anxious for the safety of their lives.
I would , therefore, request the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to check the rash driving of the vehicles.
