Hooghly , 6th June : ‘World Environment Day’ was observed in a grand manner on 5th June , in the premises of [Your School Name] [Headmaster Name], the head of the institution inaugurated the programme at 11 a.m. by planting a mango tree in the school garden. The main purpose of a programme was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do so.
The school premises was decorated with flowers , posters , banners etc. Some local people and the members of the school managing committee attended the programme. The chief guest of the programme was the honourable B.D.O. of our block. They gave important and informative speeches about the importance of the environment in our lives and how to save the environment. A ‘Tree Plantation Programme’ was also organised by the eco club of the school.
The students and the teachers of the school performed an interesting programme on the stage of songs ,dance ,drama , quiz , speech etc. All the programmes were related to environment. Banners , and the posters were displayed the words of the ways to save the environment. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets at around 3:00 p.m.
